When You Should Be Posting on Social Media

As someone who grew their platform and business on social media quite quickly, I’ve constantly encountered conflicting advice on marketing yourself online. I’m always hearing social media strategists tell their audience to post three times a day across five platforms WITH NO BREAKS. Even when I was brand new to online marketing, I NEVER posted on a schedule like this. This is NOT a content strategy. It’s the road to burnout…
Posting everyday MAY help with visibility, but it’s not a guarantee. It’s also not realistic for ANYONE’S schedule.
When crafting a social media marketing strategy, you want to be consistent. Consistency doesn’t mean posting every. single. day. Consistency means posting on a schedule. A schedule that works for YOU.
You’re Not Alix Earl; You’re a Wellness Brand.
As wellness professionals, you want to promote self-care and well-being, and this doesn’t align with a posting schedule that doesn’t allow for either of those things. Find what posting schedule works for you by working with a marketing strategist who will help you thrive 🤩, not burn you out. 🫠
The wellness space is constantly changing. There’s always the good, the bad, & the ugly. But with stand-out brands like Goop, Frenshe, & Bloom, how do small wellness brands compare? It’s best to learn from their mistakes & what they’re doing best.
Goop isn’t afraid to get down and dirty by sharing it all. They post on any topic you can think of, even the ones you didn’t know Instagram would allow. What does that tell you? JUST POST IT. DO IT. They play to their audience’s pain points and offer solutions to problems most brands are afraid to discuss.
Frenshe is all about the aesthetic and being super relatable. Health and wellness can be a scary place. From nutrition to gut health, there is so much information. Frenshe makes it easy to understand and helps viewers lead a better lifestyle. Not all content has to be complicated! It just has to be easy to understand.
Bloom is alllll about products and basically shoves it in your face. You all know the infamous Bloom Greens right?! They absolutely nailed influencer marketing. They made their product the “it girl” product… I mean even Alix Earle posted a TikTok drinking it. SOOO what does this mean for you? UGC Content & influencer is everything in 2024… something to consider leveraging!
Learning from your competitors is a step in the right direction. Learn from their mistakes and what they do best! 👩🏻💻
