As I gained more eyes on my page, I finally gave it a touch-up! I want my website to be easy to navigate while still being aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Although it is still a work in progress, I think it looks MUCH better. Go ahead and take a look! Let me know what you think.

Since sprucing up my website, I received 4 new leads?! I am not saying there is a direct correlation, but it made me feel much more secure. However, I believe when you look good; you feel good. That energy also translates to those who are in your presents. Basically, you attract those like you. When you are professional and put together… you bring forward the same.

Show up as the boss, not the employee

I believe the key to success is passion, confidence, and drive. Some of that comes from within; you must feel good about yourself to set an example. In other words, how could you expect others to show you respect when you don’t even show that respect towards yourself. Hold yourself to a high standard- don’t chase after those who cannot provide substance as those are the ones who won’t value you. When you show up like you need them more than they need you, you become disposable. You are the key holder to your own success. So, show up as the boss not the employee.

One thing I have implemented into my hiring process is an application. When you inquire about my services, you must fill out an application to work with me. This process gives me some insight into my inquiries and tells those inquiries I am sought after and professional. If you want to attract high-ticket clients or reach a certain audience, you have to appeal to that area. In relation to private practice; there is a way to attract clients that fit your niche. A common area of marketing therapists are looking to seek out are clients that pay out of pocket. As private practice owners, and therapists in general; you know the HASSLE that comes with communicating with insurance companies. Most times you lean towards taking on clients who accept insurance (if you can provide that service) because most clients are looking to work with someone who can fit their budget. What if I told you there was a way to market yourself that attracts only potential leads fitting your standard?

…there are plenty of people out there who can afford to pay the premium… and want to

Yes, it is very possible to gain leads that want only what you have to offer. Therapy can be pricey, and although I am an advocate for providing mental health care for all regardless of income; it is not required for all therapists to be “affordable”. If you are looking to only take on out-of-pocket paying clients, you can. Saving money is great, but there are plenty of people out there that can afford to pay the premium… and want to. Like any high ticket offer, it is all in the quality of the product/ service. You have to establish yourself as an expert, a professional, and someone your target audience can relate to as well as trust.

You can utilize how I market myself to attract my ideal clients. To do so, you need to show your viewers who you are. As discussed in my post about SEO, it’s not what you say; it’s how you say it. When marketing on social media, you should be making content about what you know. Using your expertise, you can highlight your services by showing your followers how you can help them. If you are a EMDR expert, talk about the transformation. This can be your own story using EMDR or a client’s experience. Talk about how it made you feel. Talk about the difference it’s made in your life. Say, “before I started EMDR I was _____ and now I am____” sell the experience. Give your viewers a story that they can relate to and take away from. Emphasize the solution, and how it can benefit them. The response you will receive back will shock you, because now you are grabbing their attention and they actually listened. They know they need this, they can feel it’s power. You attracted them because you provided them with something they were not getting anywhere else. That’s how you seal the deal.

To obtain the results you want, you have to be consistent. Do not expect overnight success, but know you can achieve your goal.
